LABOR DAY CELEBRATION

“Labor Day is a glorious holiday because your child will be going back to school the next day. It would have been called Independence Day, but that name was already taken.” ~Bill Dodds

He Loves Me - He Love Me Not

Oh, to be back in elementary school around Valentine’s Day! All those cards and gifts that get exchanged; all that love going around. Think about it; all Unconditional, all Love, to ALL! There’s no discerning between your classmates, no judgments, no decisions. Everyone gets your love! The little girl with the red hair, the boy in the back that always picks his nose and even the bully on the playground. For this one day everyone is loved (or, at least gets a ‘love card’)!

Can you imagine what life would be like if everyday was like Valentines Day? Every day Unconditional Love’. Every day seeing only the Good in everyone? (Including your little sister?)

How do we teach our children to love everyone and treat each other this way every day? As parents, we teach our children kindness, compassion, respect and how to get along with others. As Spiritual parents it is also our role to teach them to see the ‘God-Goodness’ in everyone. Whether that kid in school is a ‘jock’, a ‘brain’, popular or not; no matter what their skin color, ethnicity, height, weight, hair color, or type of backpack they carry – EVERYONE is an expression of God. We’re all Special, we’re all Unique, and we’re all connected because we’re all the same inside.

Kids really connect with this principle when we show them unconditional love and appreciation for who they are because children raised in love and support, go out in the world loving and supporting others.

So, let’s make every day Valentines Day starting NOW. Open your heart to the children of the world - including Yourself - and S.W.A.K.!
